2. The chemical industry places particularly high demands on chemical resistance, preferring molybdenum-alloyed stainless steels with a low carbon content, such as 1.4404 (such as AISI316L).

3. The compressive strength of the corrugated hose is certainly determined by the wall thickness, but this alone by no means determines the quality of the hose. The wall must be precisely tailored to the shaft geometry. These two parameters are decisive for the bending strength and fatigue strength of the bellows element, although the degree of deformation is also important.
